How would a person kill a medieval knight?
Q. In the medieval times, they would use swords. I wonder what the heck those could do to a full armored knight. How could a knight kill another knight without the use of heavy weapons;that is, weapons that smash and not slash.

A. There are many myths about Knights in armor, my favorite being that once downed they could not get back up. That is just silly. I have worn armor myself and have know people who can climb trees in it. It is not hard at all. An armored knight carried less weight then the average infantry man does today. A Sword CAN penetrate armor, but often wont. It requires a very direct and hard blow. Armor will deflect a lot of blows. This is why impact weapons such as the mace became popular. Harder to deflect and did more damage to armored Knights Although it is true that Knights were often not killed. this had less to do with honor then ransom. A Knights ransom was huge and a simple soldier who got one could make enough from the ransom to live the… [cont.]
