How would you describe a chaotic person?
Q. I know what chaos is, I know there are two types of chaotic personalities [good and evil] but i do not know what a chaotic person's behavior and acts are like. Psychologists are welcomed to answer :)
Asked by Richard D - Thu Nov 27 11:30:27 2008 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The typical chaotic person is slightly unorganized and loose in their moral behavior and actions, yet always striving to be at the best state of doing things, confusion, disorder, or chaos resulting in the process. Usually people with high expectations end up living chaotic lives, for they believe there is so much to do or say in situations, and a bit of compulsion is involved as well. However, some positivity comes with chaotic people. They set high motives for themselves, and are willing to do anything to exceed their goals. Best wishes.

Does the physical universe have an underlying order to it? Or are all events chaotic and random their nature?
Q. People have told me that they believed that everything was chaotic, and that events just occur randomly. I have always considered this an illogical position. When you assume that the universe is chaotic and has no underlying order, you are pretty much saying that you can never be sure of anything, because there is no order to anything. So the question becomes, how can you be sure of that? The theory logically collapses on itself. The same thing goes for the statement, everything is relative. Logically speaking, this could never be a truth, because it is logically inconsistent. What do you guys think?
Asked by Truth Seeker and Deliverer - Mon Jun 7 12:42:50 2010 - - 6 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The only "order" is the "cosmos" caused by the natural laws of physics. Without such laws, the universe would be "chaos". (Chaos and cosmos are opposites in this context.) But don't make the mistake of thinking that laws that appear to a rational mind to be rationally ordered are actually so ordered. All matter has an "identity" in the sense that it has properties identifiable by physics. Those "identities of physics" react to each other, cannot react in any way except the way in which they do, and those ways are according to the laws of the physics of those identities. A rational mind sees the order, but knows it is because of the identities of physics.

A. Have a plan and stick to it. Do everything that you can, ahead of time. Don't leave anything to the last minute. When you buy a gift, write it down, and wrap it. Buy your groceries ahead of time to avoid last minute panic trips. Ask for help! The most important thing is to plan and have a list. Good Luck and have fun!

A. Lead by example. Get YOUR area and YOUR responsibilities right. By creating some kind of organisation, it will be easier for more to fall into place, plus when your bosses SEE your ideas in practice and SEE they are working, it gives you more clout.

How can I improve communication at this chaotic multinational company????
Q. I work in a company with offices in four countries. A very small company but they provide a specialist service. The problem is communication. The offices in the other countries, especially Zambia do not respond to emails, the phone lines are often down and they just do not call you back. Your day ends up being about chasing after people who have not got back to you. The thing is also these people are all senior to me so I can not exactly tell them off but it is very chaotic and difficult to try and get anything done.

A. I dont think you can. You need to uninstall that version and find the chronicle you need to download. I assume you're looking to play on a private server not retail. You might check the server website you're planning on logging into or forums to find a download. Google is probably your friend on that. I play retail so don't know of any specific site that you could find older versions on.

A. It's a common problem. How I look at it - no one is dying. We don't work in a hospital. Everyone is ok. Take charge/control of the situation. Get the problem first. Ask questions. Take care of it once you understand what you need to do. This is what they would do in the hospital. I'm sure. It's no good if everyone is in a state of panic. I laugh to myself when I do on occasion witness it. It's so ridiculous. I'm sure they are partly like that because people being people don't always take care of their work right away. It's a chronic problem here and I'm not one of those people. Work comes first and I do everything that I need to do. If only more people had this attitude. I take ownership of my work. I think you should do the same.… [cont.]

what is a good financial investment for these chaotic times?
Q. 1. the dollar is about to go into freefall with trillions in unpaid for spending and TARP(bailout related) scandals. 2. other currencies are shaky (see Russia and Japan). 3. Oil is at 5 year lows 4. stock market is in serious trouble or will stagnate around 8500 for several years 5. Russia could flood gold market to pay its needs, thereby crushing gold prices. 6. China is in serious trouble with inability to maintain 7% growth to keep its growing workforce employed. So where is the best place to make money if the world is going to POT?

A. Gold is good, others have mentioned this, but you may also want to consider an indexed annuity, if your saving for retirement. This will give you the benefits of any market upswings on a month to month basis and you will not suffer the losses during negative months. Try the annuity shop. You could also consider a Universal Indexed Life Insurance policy, it will act in a similar manner.

Why is a double pendulum chaotic system?
Q. Does anyone have a logical, simple (no complicated formulas) explanation to why a double pendulum is a chaotic system?
Asked by Eric F - Tue Dec 30 02:34:17 2008 - - 1 Answers - 0 Comments
A. The second pendulum is unlikely to be of exactly the same length as the first so the phases will not be synchronised. The momentum of the second pendulum affects the first, and the position of the first pendulum determines where the second pendulum will swing from. Two way feedback systems inevitably lead to chaos.
