Megatron is a character from the various Transformers universes, created by toy companies Hasbro and Takara. He is the evil leader of the Decepticons and an antagonist of the series. Though he is about as powerful as Optimus Prime, he is usually much more aggressive. Transformers: Generation 1Bob Budiansky, the writer for the Marvel Comics series stated that originally Hasbro took issue with the name, saying it sounded too scary, like an atomic bomb. Budiansky responded that as the lead villain, that was the point. Hasbro saw his reasoning, and approved the name. He would become his own character in the 1984 television series and Marvel comic book line. Wizard Magazine rated him the 68th greatest villain. ControversyThe Megatron toy has been seized by Customs in Sydney because it can be mistaken for a real weapon. Customs seized more than 50 MP-05 Masterpiece Megatron Transformers in inbound foreign mail. U.S. Customs has also forbidden imports of Masterpiece Megatron toys unless the boxes are opened by the seller and an orange muzzle cap is placed on the toy. Just keep acting like a dick to him and eventually one of the things you can say is along the lines of "there is a new sheriff in town". do this, and he will attack you, so obviously be prepared, as he is quite hard compared to most people fresh out of the vault. once you kill him, steal his stuff, then high tail it out of there for a day. when you come back, put on his gear, and lo and behold, there is the new sheriff.
