GNU Free Documentation License What religions put emphasis and power in the individuals? Q. Many religions seem to tell followers what to do, how to do it, and what not to do. Also in many religions, the theme is to worship a higher power- to do everything for it and in it's name. To accept it (or submit and fear it) over yourself and over things you hold dear (family, life, possessions, etc). In my opinion, those aspects are against what nature stands for. Are there any religions that embrace everything humans are? Are there any that put emphasis and power into the individual instead of into a higher power? For example the Christians believe in the trinity. Islam gives you the only possible scientific description of God. [112:1] Proclaim, "He is the One and only GOD. [112:2] "The Absolute GOD. [112:3] "Never did He beget. Nor was He begotten. --- Also... [6:100] Yet, they set up beside GOD idols from among the jinns, though He is the One who created them. They even attribute to Him sons and daughters, without any knowledge. Be He glorified. He is the Most High, far above their claims. [6:101] The Initiator of the heavens and the earth. Q. Religious beliefs seem almost entirely based on where you grow up and live. Just a random coincidence that you happened to be born to this or that parent in this or that region of the world. For Christianity I guess there is the whole 12 tribe deal, from what I can remember, probably mistaken. How do the major religions answer this question of "Why are we correct in our beliefs and those other billion people across the globe are completely mistaken?" Asked by Baxter D. This includes using their own definitions of terms that may have an entirely different meaning in another belief system. One of the most notable exceptions is Hinduism. Hinduism is different because it incorporates every belief system that it encounters into itself. That's just talking about religions... Some individuals can be a bit more flexible.
