The Society for Creative Anachronism (often called SCA), is a historical reenactment group founded in 1966, with the aim of studying and recreating pre-17th century Western European cultures and their histories. A quip often used within the SCA describes it as a group devoted to the recreation of the Middle Ages "as they ought to have been," choosing to "selectively recreate the culture, choosing elements of the culture that interest and attract us." As of 2008, the Society had about 32,000 members. From Wikipedia under the
GNU Free Documentation License is Society for Creative Anachronism fun? Q. It is that some of my friends and i are planninto join abd we want to know if it is fun? Asked by RealMadrid10 - Sat Jan 3 14:02:43 2009 - - 2 Answers - 0 Comments A. Yeah, it's pretty fun, from what I hear. You've got to be careful not to throw your whole life into it though. Some people never do anything else, but that. They do tons of stuff so there's a good amount of choice, but don't try to do them all. It's weird, because when you get there everyone suddenly becomes a lord and lady. Where are the peasants in all this?! I don't see how their make believe feudal society is going to work.
